Nystagmus Network Virtual Open Day 2020

Nystagmus Network held their annual Open Day on Saturday 3rd October, all be it with a bit of a twist this year. Due to Covid, this time around the event was a virtual open day, with guests logging on to their computers from the comfort of their own homes, all to tune in and here all things nystagmus. The event had many guest speakers, including doctors’ updates on their research on nystagmus; others living with nystagmus; Resilience and how to boost it; Special Education Needs; assistive technology; amongst other topics.

And I was extremely honoured to be included in this list of speakers, as I was asked to be a guest speaker for the event.

Due to the time difference between the UK and Australia, we made a pre recorded message for Nystagmus Network to present to their Open Day guests during their dinner.

I talk about my walk across New Zealand, my life with nystagmus as a child and an adult, and I also answered some of the questions you so kindly sent in.
