FarOut and Walk for Wiggly Eyes

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!

Walk for Wiggly Eyes 4.0 has an official route! I'm almost certain that after Day 4 (or even by Day 1) this schedule will already be completely out of sync, (as is the way with these long distance hikes) but for now, we have something down.

All this route was planned by using @faroutguides. Which is the only official mobile app for the @croatian.long.distance.trail: "FarOut offer a variety of hiking guides for long distance trails and regional trail systems. Their guides are used and approved by the majority of triple-crown thru-hikers, so let FarOut guide your next adventure – on the CLDT!"

Which is a great little coincidence, as Walk for Wiggly Eyes are extremely proud and honoured to announce that we will be teaming up with FarOut for 2024. We were asked to be an ambassador, and obviously we jumped at the opportunity!

Well, we did say 2024 was gonna be a big year for W4WE.....

I used the FarOut app to help me during my Te Araroa hike in New Zealand in 2019/2020 as an extra point of reference, and it was extremely helpful. But for my upcoming hike, I had to use FarOut to completely plan everything. The Croatian Long Distance Trail is a lot newer than Te Araroa, and therefore it has much fewer resources available for planning/notes....but FarOut was there to help me plan every step of the way.

To check out FarOut's full (and ever increasing) list of trail guides, you can Explore their Guides here.

If truth be told, when I was initially coming up with an idea for W4WE 4.0, I had no idea of what to do or where to go. So I actually used FarOut as my first port of call for ideas to see what was out there....and that is where I discovered the CLDT...... So thank you for the inspiration FarOut.
